Esperia The New Human Revolution vols. 5/6
The autobiographical novel of Daisaku Ikeda, president of SGI. The October 1961 trip to Europe constitutes the start of the kosen rufu movement on the old continent. The following January a new leg of Shin'ichi Yamamoto's travels takes him to Asia Minor and the Middle East. The young president meets in each country with the very few pioneers of the Buddhist faith and encourages them to raise around him hosts of capable people. "The whole world will be the stage of the new century. In the farthest corners of the globe there are friends suffering in the agony of war, mothers torn by grief and children starving. Fresh water bubbling up from the ground can turn a desert into an oasis. Likewise, compassion and wisdom flowing from the heart can transfrom this planet into an authentic realm of peace and happiness, an eternal precious land. This is kosen rufu."

Esperia The New Human Revolution vols. 19/20
The autobiographical novel of Daisaku Ikeda, president of SGI. 1974: Shin'ichi Yamamoto's initiatives to spread a culture of peace bear fruit, and the kosen rufu movement begins to be understood even where it was previously viewed with suspicion. President Yamamoto travels to Panama, then to Peru, where he receives the keys to the city of Lima, and to California, where he is awarded honorary citizenship of San Diego. In Okinawa, the youth of the Soka Gakkai collect the experiences of World War II survivors, a valuable testimony that will serve as a warning for the future about the tragic consequences of the war.1974 is also the year Shin'ichi Yamamoto travels to China and the Soviet Union. The opening of friendly relations between the universities and his efforts to establish sincere dialogues are the beginning of a path toward friendship and trust between nations long hostile to each other. Toward the end of the year, President Yamamoto is back in Beijing, where a historic meeting is held that was wholeheartedly desired by China's seriously ill Premier Zhou Enlai. Yamamoto also later meets with U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger to present his proposals aimed at international détente.

Esperia The New Human Revolution vols. 7/8
The autobiographical novel of Daisaku Ikeda, president of SGI. Volumes VII and VIII cover the chronicle of 1962 and 1963, years of great development both in Japan and abroad for the Soka Gakkai. While this sprouts seeds of hope in many countries, in South Korea the spread of Nichiren Buddhism triggers severe persecution of Gakkai members. In 1962, the Bay of Pigs crisis exposed the fragile balance of the Cold War, and only Kennedy's nerves averted the nightmare of an atomic war. The American president wishes to meet with Shin'Äôichi Yamamoto, but this meeting, equally desired by the president of the Soka Gakkai, will be canceled due to interference by some Japanese politicians. In 1963 Kennedy is assassinated in Dallas. The event shocks the whole world and leaves President Yamamoto's heart with the regret of not having been able to dialogue with him; he nevertheless makes his own determination to carry forward the humanitarian ideals so dear to President Kennedy.
