The third and final volume of the Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra deals with chapters from the seventeenth to the twenty-eighth. Particular emphasis is given to the figure of the Bodhisattva Mai Sprezzante, who represents the ideal model of the Buddha's disciple dedicated to spreading his word, and to the entrustment ceremony, by which the Buddha confers on all disciples the mission of propagating his teaching in future ages. Great attention is paid to chapter twenty-first, Supernatural Powers of the Tathagata, from which the elements that uniquely characterize the Lotus Sutra emerge once again: the absolute equality of living beings and the Buddha and the fact that the enlightened life condition exists in every person's life.
