Handcrafted MDF butsudan, made entirely in Italy. The knobs are engraved with the SGI symbol. Available in 4 colours. It features built-in lighting: an LED strip with a USB connection, so it can be powered either via the charger inside or via a power bank. The lacquered version is ideal for a modern setting, and the colour contrast ensures it blends perfectly into contemporary interiors.
Assembly: This product is dispatched partially disassembled to protect the delicate lacquer finish during transit. The unit is easy to assemble by following the enclosed assembly instructions.
The materials used to produce the butsudan are fully certified, carefully selected and environmentally sustainable. This means that for every tree felled, another is replanted.
The lacquering process is subject to strict controls, and non-toxic lacquers are used whilst ensuring effective long-term protection of the wood; as these are catalysed lacquers, they do not release harmful vapours. We therefore advise against treating the butsudan with wax-based products or scented oils, as these contain turpentine, which alters the colour of the parchment.
