Handcrafted two-door butsudan made of poplar melamine. Handcrafted in Italy. It is suitable for those who are looking for the first time for an altar to hold the gohonzon. The Perla is an excellent quality product at a very attractive price. Poplar veneer provides stability and strength to the structure, while the foil design is reminiscent of wood grain.
The wood from which butsudans are made is fully certified, composed of selected environmentally sustainable timber. This means that for every plant cut, another plant is replanted.
The painting cycle undergoes strict controls, and varnishes classified as non-toxic are used while ensuring serious protection of the wood over time, and since they are catalyzed varnishes they do not release hazardous vapors. Therefore, it is not recommended to treat butsudan with waxy products or scented oils because they contain turpentine which alters the color of the vellum.
Regarding the electrical system, it is imperative that the transformer, which generates heat, be placed outside the butsudan. This is why it is not recommended to use 220-volt bulbs as these lamps having the electronic transformer inside the base get dangerously hot putting the parchment at risk.
