Japanese natural incense sticks. Takara Gold is an incense created based on the scent of tuberose. This flower emits an enchanting nocturnal scent. It is a bulbous plant in the agave family, and the scent is extracted from the white single-flowered flowers that resemble daffodils. Although native to Mexico, it is often cultivated in India, Morocco, and Egypt.
Takara Gold is made into incense sticks in which the fragrance is enclosed in capsules so small that they are not visible to the naked eye. When an incense stick is lit, heat causes the capsule to disappear and the fragrance inside begins to flow into the air. The capsule keeps the fragrance fresh until combustion occurs. Takara Gold is thus the world's first incense stick that emits fragrance only after being lit.
