The volume contains 234 gosho, which have never been published in Italy except for a few fragments in President Ikeda's guides or lectures or excerpts on Buddhism and Society. With the release of this volume, the Italian-language translation of the Nichiren Daishonin gosho zenshu is almost complete (only the Collection of Oral Teachings and some other transcriptions of Nichiren Daishonin's oral teachings being studied and revised in Japan are missing).
This volume contains the last 4 missing treatises(On Reciting the Daimoku of the Lotus Sutra, Choosing the Heart of the Lotus Sutra, Letter to Shimoyama , and Questions and Answers on the Object of Worship), which together with the 6 published in Volume 1(Adopting the Correct Teaching for Peace in the Country, Opening the Eyes, The Object of Worship for Observing the Mind, Repaying Debts of Gratitude, and On the Four Stages of Faith and the Five Stages of Practice) go to make up Nichiren Daishonin's ten fundamental works, designated as follows by his successor Nikko Shonin
This second volume also contains many other important works, for example: a series of writings in which Nichiren elaborates in detail on the principle of the three thousand realms in a single moment of life (jap. ichinen sanzen), and other famous writings, such as On the Protection of the Country, The Unanimous Declaration of the Buddhas of the Three Existences on the classification of teachings and which of them should be abandoned and which should be adopted, and The Oral Tradition Concerning the Illumination of Plants. The volume also contains various diagrams and diagrams that the Daishonin used to instruct his disciples on the various Buddhist teachings and an inexhaustible series of insights and answers to every possible doubt or question from practitioners of all ages. The translation is from the English edition, which in addition to being the official Sgi edition is also currently the most up-to-date.
