IBISG Dictionary of Buddhism
This volume contains 2580 essential terms for understanding the Mahayana Buddhist tradition, which is based on the Lotus Sutra. In particular, it refers to the writings of Nichiren Daishonin Buddha, who worked to restore the humanistic meaning of the teachings of the historical Shakyamuni Buddha. It is one of the most extensive collections of Buddhist terms in the Italian language currently on the market."If the Buddha, after awakening to the Dharma, or the Law of life, had not committed to teaching it to others, his enlightenment would have been incomplete. Furthermore, even if the Buddha himself had expounded this Law without others participating in its dissemination, it would not have brought benefit to people. It is our hope that the publication of this dictionary in Italian can serve to make the wisdom of Buddhism accessible to an ever-increasing number of people, allowing them to find a path to true happiness and thus contributing to the realization of a peaceful world. If, by reading this dictionary, people are able to deepen their understanding and appreciation of Buddhist philosophy, I will be profoundly pleased."

Esperia The pride of being golden pillars of kosen rufu
Dedicated to the men of the Soka family. Ginkgo trees in Japan originated in China. In Japanese, they are also designated by certain Chinese characters that literally mean “grandfather-grandson tree,” because if someone plants a ginkgo now, their grandchildren will harvest its fruits. I read this explanation a long time ago and still remember it. It seems to me that this name means: “I do not live for myself, but for the good of the generations that will come after me. I will gather all my vital strength and achieve great things!” When I look at a tall ginkgo tree, my thoughts go to the people of previous generations who planted and cared for it.

Daisaku Ikeda explores the theme of human rights and explains what it means to him to be a citizen of the world. Esperia The most precious asset
Buddhism and the Art of Medicine. Sickness is one of the four sufferings of life that, according to Buddhism, are common to all human beings. Humans have always been afraid of it, as it compromises one's ability to live life to the fullest, but Buddhist scriptures state that illnesses stimulate the spirit of seeking the "Way." To teach an attitude that allows one to challenge illnesses based on faith, as well as medical knowledge, in this volume, Daisaku Ikeda discusses with experts in the field the prevention and treatment of the main diseases afflicting humans of our time. "Health is not merely the absence of disease. Being healthy implies a constant challenge and constant creativity. A fruitful life, a truly healthy life, is constantly progressing, opening up ever new horizons. An indomitable spirit gives the power to keep moving forward."Daisaku Ikeda

Esperia Culture, Art and Nature
The text addresses themes of respect for nature, understanding artistic phenomena, and the importance of reading as true nourishment for the mind. Reading is a dialogue with characters, intellectuals, masters of thought distant in time or space, and even with past cultures. The author doesn't just offer food for thought but also provides practical advice on how to improve one's reading ability. Discussing the view of nature, he introduces the Buddhist concept of "dependent origination," reiterating that we are all connected to each other, as well as to every other phenomenon in the universe: "Life is a chain. Everything is linked. When one link in the chain deteriorates, all others will be affected too. We should consider the environment as our mother, Mother Earth."

Esperia Peace, justice, and poetry
Peace is not merely the absence of war. Appeals for the ideals of “peace and justice” are often made but most of the time they end up becoming mere slogans. In the dialogue contained in this book, Stuart Rees and Daisaku Ikeda share their ideas and visions on how to create the conditions for peace through a profound awakening, a commitment to nonviolence as a “law of life,” and unwavering dedication. It is the authors' conviction that these concrete elements, and not an ideology or abstract thought, make possible a society that cultivates the dignity of all people. Finally, Rees and Ikeda emphasize how the “poetic spirit” is an excellent creative tool for imagining and realizing a future where peace and justice are one and the same. Peace, Justice, and Poetry offers a fascinating and compelling analysis of the ills afflicting our society. It also points to a nonviolent path that leads to authentic peace and provides those seeking peace with the encouragement and inspiration they need. Esperia The religion of human revolution
In the twelve lectures in this volume, taken from “The Buddhism of the Sun” series and collected under the significant title The Religion of Human Revolution, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda outlines an authentically humanistic religion, capable of enabling each person to revolutionize their vital condition and contribute to a positive change in society, influencing the destiny of all humanity. Master Ikeda addresses several core principles of Buddhism and, always starting from the Daishonin's writings, explains what it means to practice Nichiren Buddhism in the modern era and how the Soka Gakkai has embraced the Buddha's mandate to widely propagate the Mystic Law, awakening numerous Bodhisattvas of the Earth to their great vow. These are precious indications from the master, aimed at ensuring the eternal development of the kosen-rufu movement. “In every country or society, the presence of even a single Soka Gakkai member is the starting point for creating an era of victory for the people.” Daisaku Ikeda
